We are a community of learners, families, and educators who collaborate together in support of developing the whole child...one who is healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged. Continuous communication with all stakeholders ensures our success: Family First Fridays, Parent-Principal Partnership Meetings, open door policies, weekly recorded phone messages, monthly newsletters and event calendars.
We empower students to become creative thinkers, critical thinkers, and 21st-century problem solvers—young people who are continually learning and who can apply their new knowledge to complex, novel, open-ended challenges. Through collaborative efforts and effective practices/programs, our boys and girls will proceed confidently and competently into the new horizons of college, career, and life.
We understand that as students grow in character, they grow in their capacity and commitment to do their best work, do the right thing and lead lives of purpose. Our dedicated staff members daily employ character education practices in which children are recognized for positive choices. Problems are solved through consistent, fair, and respectful policies.
We provide superior, balanced classroom curriculum designed to maximize learning and actively engage students in ALL subject areas. In addition to world-class reading, writing and arithmetic instruction, children receive rich experiences in science, technology, engineering (STEM), history/social studies, physical education, and fine arts.
Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy, a California Gold Ribbon School and home of the spirited Panthers, first opened its doors in the city of Stanton in 1958. Almost 60 years later, we currently serve over 750 students in general and special education classrooms and we are the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Academy in the Magnolia School District.. We partner with families and the greater community to encourage, empower and expect that our boys and girls become responsible citizens in our local, national, and global society. Each child is provided a challenging educational program that develops intellectual, technological, social, emotional and physical growth by caring and committed staff members.
