Preschool / School Readiness

The purpose of the preschool program is to promote the development of language, literacy, cognitive skills, social-emotional development, and motor skills for every child. The program is designed to help children make a smooth and successful transition into kindergarten. The program is comprised of five developmental areas: language, literacy, cognitive, social/emotional, and large/fine motor. We utilize the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) and Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Framework to assess each child in these areas. Specific goals are set for each child based on the child’s individual growth and development after reviewing the results of the DRDP, teacher observation, and parent observation/input.
