Superintendent's Cup Champions

CyberPatriots is an after-school program held in partnership with Cypress College where sixth-grade students met weekly and learned the foundations of cybersecurity as if they were running a company.  Students learned how to protect passwords, monitor users, and look for signs of hackers.  They were immersed in cybersecurity techniques, the basics of computer anatomy, and the language of technology.  Throughout the Saturday competition, the team had to solve various challenges related to these principles.

This career pathway is a wonderful opportunity and continues into Jr. High and through college if students choose. Many who stay with the program, end up with industry certificates even before they graduate from high school.

Congratulations to the Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy’s sixth-grade CyberPatriots team on an impressive victory!
