Learning and Fun at the MSD Summer Academy!

The Magnolia School District Summer STEM Program is designed to be a rigorous and engaging extension to learning.  This opportunity is offered to all second-grade students in the District during the summer prior to entering third grade, and is focused on developing higher-level thinking through fun, inquiry-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) lessons.  Students learned about inherited and environmental traits, electric and magnetic forces and changing environments by participating in hands-on experiences and collaborative projects. They also had the opportunity to participate in swim safety lessons through the Anaheim Family YMCA.  Breakfast and lunch were provided at no cost through the Magnolia Food Services Department.

Magnolia is very proud to be able to provide this fun and academic jumpstart into third grade for all second grade students.
