December 11 Board Meeting Highlights

Employees and Volunteer of the Year:

  • Classified: Rebeca Tlatenchi, Behavior Interventionist
  • Volunteer: Yadira Castro

Students at Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy took the spotlight with a presentation titled “Thinking Maps: My Brain’s Superpower Tool!” Students from various grade levels explained how they use Thinking Maps in their daily work to plan, organize, and deepen their understanding of concepts across content areas.

The Board also recognized Katrina Peterson, Systems and Network Technician Lead, as the Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Facilities (MOTF) Department Employee of the Month. Ms. Peterson was additionally honored as the Magnolia School District Classified Employee of the Year for 2025 and will advance to the county-level competition.

Congratulations to all honorees and students for their accomplishments and contributions to our school and District community.
