Resource #2

Free COVID-19 saliva test kits are available from school offices for residents of Orange County who are Magnolia School District students, family members and/or staff members.  Call the school office to request to pick up a test kit.  The test kit includes a COVID-19 saliva test and a prepaid FedEx mailing label.  The test is independent of Magnolia School District, completed at home and shipped to the Lab through FedEx.  Results are available within 24-72 hours.

Resource #3

Magnolia School District free voluntary screening COVID-19 testing for students and staff.

To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 infection in our community, Magnolia School District is providing free, voluntary COVID-19 antigen testing for students and staff only.

If you would like your child to participate in COVID-19 testing, please complete the online registration which includes online parent consent prior to arriving at the testing location.  Once your child is registered, they may be tested on any testing day.  For registration please use the following link: https://my.primary.health/r/magnoliasd?registration_type=student

If your child was registered for testing in April or May of 2021, then only a new consent form is required.

The test being used will be the Abbott BinaxNOW which is a rapid antigen test designed to test for the SARS CoV-2 virus with results available in 15-30 minutes. The sample will be collected by a licensed nurse by inserting a soft swab a half-inch inside the nose and slowly rotating the swab for 15 seconds and then repeating on the second nostril.  Most people describe a ticklish sensation or feeling the need to sneeze.
