TreePower at Dr. Albert Schweitzer School
The City of Anaheim has generously included the Magnolia School District in their TreePower Program. Eventually all schools in the District will receive trees from the City. The goal is to create shade and reduce energy costs while also helping the environment. The first trees were planted this summer at Dr. Albert Schweitzer school. Anaheim City Council Member, Jose Diaz presented the trees to Principal Marcy Chant and a group of fifth grade students. Magnolia School District Board Members, Barbara Clendineng and Connie Martin were also present for the ceremonial tree planting.
